Franklin W. Olin Building

Alfred, New York
exterior || interior
The building has state-of-the-art seminar rooms, lecture halls, case-study classrooms and faculty offices, a behavior laboratory for the study of human interaction, and a center for computer management systems training. The use of brick provides a warm and lively sensibility, enhanced through the use of chimney forms that enclose ventilators, garden gates and a conference room that overlooks the major growth corridor of the campus. The symmetrical massing, sloping roofs and exterior materials reinforce the continuity of the campus architecture, both old and new.
